The role of Women in Elim’s church ministry
As part of our desire to see a whole new generation of women emerging as church leaders, we have created a four-session study series entitled The Role of Women in Elim’s Church Ministry. Local church leadership teams can use this to ensure everyone knows Elim’s national stance on women in ministry and leadership.
These sessions present Elim’s national standpoint, reflect on scripture, raise issues of practise, and help churches to develop their own plans of action. These can be used individually as part of existing leadership meetings or could be a whole evening’s focus. Each section should last around 30-40 minutes.

Instructor
As Principal of Regents Theological College, Michelle brings extensive leadership experience through her time in pastoral and church ministry, and her senior management roles in the public and private sectors. Michelle was the associate minister and a Hospital Chaplain before becoming the Senior Minister of Nantwich Elim in 2011, which flourished under her leadership. Nantwich Elim was based at Regents Park where Michelle worked with the church team to develop a business park which was home to 45 businesses and provided a social hub for the local community. Since 2015, Michelle also served as a member of Elim’s Ministry Selection Board and was appointed to the Elim National Leadership Team in 2022. In August 2024 she took the position of Principal at Regents. She holds a Masters’s degree in Practical and Contextual Theology and is currently working towards her PhD. Her ongoing research areas centres around disciple-making and how we inspire communities of equals.
